Crew Chief/ Team Owner: Mike Langley
Occupation: President/Owner of Bargain Automotive Equipment

Mike has always been involved with cars and racing, following in his father's shoes of being a mechanic and garage owner. He played around on motocross bikes for about 5 years. It was at the age of 15 when cars, fast cars were it!! His father had given him a 1972 Baracuda with some front end damage and said "if you fix it, you own it".

Going to the drag strip with his friends and helping to make every car go faster was a thrill. Working with his father he was able to become a fully qualified licensed mecanic.

Moving to Oro Station with his wife Cathy in the late 80's, they would be outside around with friends listening to the roar in the distance. They all went to see what it was.... STOCK CARS at Barrie Speedway. After watching the races Mike and his brother built 2 race cars so they could each go racing.

Mike was hooked. After racing that car, for the first year it was time to upgrade. The car was sold and another better, lighter, faster car was built. Winning lots of heat races, and a few feature races, we were on the right track.

Mike also helped build other race cars for other friends that also competed at the speedway.

Mike and Cathy were expecting their first baby, and a job transfer put racing on hold for awhile ... (13 years)

It was Jim that came up with the idea of the partnership. Now Mike, Jim, their wives and children are all involved. It's a great combination, great family fun.
